abysm

A bottomless gulf or void; an unfathomable depth.

A single mirror has no depth. It only returns what is already there.
An abysm begins when mirrors face each other.

We build cubes mirrored on every plane, inside and out. On the outside, the box reflects the room. On the inside, six mirrored faces confront one another—turning a finite object into an apparent bottomless void where reflections repeat into infinity.

Call it a jewellery box if you need an excuse to own one. In reality, it is a containment chamber—an infinite void designed to trap light, memory, and whatever you place inside.

The Making

Hand-assembled in Da Nang from optical-grade mirrored acrylic. No velvet. No hardware. No narrative.

Just an abysm you can hold.

We chose mirrored acrylic over glass for three reasons. It is lighter. It is shatter-resistant. And it is optically purer — the reflections are sharper, the distortion is lower.
